Provincial Capitol of Maguindanao del Sur

The first place we visited in Maguindanao del Sur was the Provincial Capitol Hall. It was nearly 1 hour land travel from the jump off point of La Palmera Mountain Ridges in Sultan Kudarat province.

I do not have much story to tell in this place. We simply just made a quick stopover to take some photos outside and inside the hall.

Masjid Dimaukom also known as The Pink Mosque

After taking our lunch break at Isulan, Sultan Kudarat, we went for another hour land travel going to Masjid Dimaukom or also known as the Pink Mosque.

We arrived at the Pink Mosque and immediately took some photos while the sun was scorching hot.

The place was nice as the mosque was painted in pink (obviously). There were a few abaya for male and female that you can rent for only Php 50.

It was a good experience to be dressed like our Muslim brothers and sisters.

Just take note, you have to remove your slippers or shoes and observe silence when you enter the mosque to show respect for the place.

Based on my research (naks!), the mosque was painted pink as it symbolizes peace and love, and was built by Christian workmen to symbolize unity and inter-faith brotherhood (thanks Wikipedia).

This ends our Maguindanao del Sur tour… time now to go Maguindanao del Norte (next chapter).
