Escala Tagaytay
Escala Tagaytay is one of my favorite hotels because it is near Metro Manila, it showcases a breathtaking view of Taal volcano and nearby towns, and the quality of service is quite good.
Within a few hours of drive from Metro Manila, you can easily reach Tagaytay City in the province of Cavite. As we all know, Tagaytay is one of the popular tourist destination in the country because of the cold climate. It is a good alternative to Baguio during summer season.Â
Having been cooped up indoors for many months because of the COVID-19 protocols, we decided to unwind and experience Escala Tagaytay.

At the height of the pandemic, we were still cautious of the places that we visit. We would always ensure that the venue is following the minimum health standards so everyone will have less chances of contracting the COVID-19 virus.
The Infinity Pool
Swimming at Escala’s infinity pool was one of the highlights of our stay. Though it was raining at that time and there was a threat of the Taal volcano showing increased activity, we did not hesitate to jump to the pool and enjoy the panoramic view of Taal volcano.Â

The access to the pool is open until evening. The evening view is also magnificent as you can capture the silhouette of the volcano and the view of nearby towns with their lights at night.Â

NBA Box Break No. 3
To cap off the evening, aside from watching movies and chat with my girlfriend, I did a box break of NBA cards. I bought a blaster box of NBA Hoops Premium and opened it before going to sleep.Â
Bellissima Restaurant
Although it was just an overnight stay, we made sure that we maximized the amenities of Escala Tagaytay. The Bellissima restaurant was on top of our list. It was perfect: sumptuous meals with the panoramic view of Taal volcano in its backdrop. We surely enjoyed our breakfast and while the cold breeze touched your skin.Â
Both our stomachs and hearts were full that day.
The breakfast buffet at the Bellissima Restaurant was an array of comfort food. There are Filipino and International cuisines you can choose from plus an unlimited drink of choice like coffee, hot chocolate, or juice.
